Recycled Antique Cheeky Comic Money Box. This is a very cool antique Victorian wooden box dating to circa 1880. Usually the word decoupage conjures up images of dated fat cherubs and faux Victoriana, however, but, this box has given a whole new meaning to the word, this vintage box was fading fast until a kind recycler came along and gave it a new lease of life. The box has been restored, inside and out, with very cool 1970s comic strips and is now a totally unique piece! The antique box has been sealed with matt varnish and the bottom is covered with felt, to protect your surfaces from scratching, so it is ready for you to use to store all kinds of odds and ends. It also has a slot in the top so you could use it to save your pennies. This is a divine antique box, lovingly recycled, would make a really unique gift or would be perfect for your vintage inspired home. The vintage box measures approx 8 inches / 20 cm across, 5.5 inches / 14 cm deep and 3.5 inches / 9.5 cm tall. The vintage box is newly refurbished, very good condition.
