Vintage 1940s Japanese Leatherette Clutch Bag. This is a cool vintage soft faux leather baguette clutch bag, dating to circa 1949. The clutch bag has a Cream faux leather body, with a tooled and painted Japanese Landscape design on the front, back and under the lid, the lid also features a pair of faux Ivory elephant decorations and the back features a handle or glove strap. The bag is lined in cream fabric, it fastens with a press fastener and has a small mirror under the lid. The interior features two small open gathered pockets, a lipstick pocket, two large open compartments and a large zipper compartment. Fourties fashions are so hot at present, so this vintage clutch bag is the prefect addition to your retro or vintage wardrobe or handbag collection. This charming vintage bag measures approx 11 inches / 27.5 cm across and 7 inches / 17.5 cm tall. This divine vintage handbag has light rubbing to the leatherette on the corners and it has a couple of tiny pin head sized marks to the lining, it is fully useable, very clean inside and out, with no other flaws or damage, very good condition.
