Antique Edwardian Tapestry and Celluloid Butterfly Frame Evening Bag. A very sweet little English antique evening bag dating to circa 1910. This lovely little antique evening bag has a Pouch style tapestry panelled body. The really spectacular part of this bag is its frame, which is in pearlized Cream celluloid. The frame is further enhanced with a small celluloid Butterflyfinial on the flip clasp. This delightful antique evening bag is lined in Cream Crepe. This is a lovely antique evening bag and just the thing for adding a touch of antique charm and character to any outfit, its age and uniqueness means no one else will have the same too and as the bag is such a rare find, it's the perfect addition to your antique or vintage wardrobe or handbag collection. The antique evening bag is big enough for your essentials for an evening out and it measures approx 6 inches / 15 cm across and 7 inches / 17.5 cm tall plus 7 inches / 17.5 cm handle height. The antique evening bag has a lot of wear to the gathered fabric around the edge of the body, it was once Peach velvet, but most of the pile has gone, revealing the Peach cotton base, however both the fabric and the bag are structurally sound and the wear to the velvet seem to add to the faded grandeur of this delightful antique evening bag, there are also a couple of small light marks to the lining. The evening bag retains all of its charm and is fully useable, clean inside and out and shows no other flaws or damage, fair condition.
