Vintage 1930s Gwenda Butterfly Wing Powder Compact. A very sweet vintage powder compact, produced by the Gwenda brand and dating to circa 1933. This is a wonderful Square compact in Silver-tone metal, with a delightful little design to the lid featuring a girl walking in a garden, with a shimmering Silver 'Butterfly Wing' Enamel background and a Candy Pink faux Enamel base. The compact is designed to take lose powder and it has the original powder guard and a mirror inside the lid, but no puff. The vintage compact is stamped: Gwenda, made in England. This is a fabulous vintage powder compact, perfect for display or use. The vintage powder compact measures approx 2.5 inches / 6.25 cm across. This delightful vintage powder compact has a number of tiny points of wear to the faux enamel finish on the base and light fading to the design on the lid, it is fully useable and has no other flaws or damage, good condition.
