Vintage 1940s Beaded Crochet and Celluloid Evening Bag. A very cool vintage evening bag, made up of a crocheted body and celluloid mounts, dating to circa 1948. This is a delightful quirky vintage handbag, in crocheted Cream silk covered cord, high lighted with gold crocheting and brass beads. The evening bag body is mounted on to a faux tortoise shell celluloid plastic square base. The vintage evening bag fastens with draw strings, in gold cord, with gold-tone metal finials. This handbag is the perfect addition to your vintage chic wardrobe and will add a little vintage quirkyness to any outfit ! The handbag measures approx 6 inches / 15 cm across and 8 inches / 20 cm tall (plus the handle, which adds 6 inches/ 15 cm to the height). The handbag shows only the very lightest signs of gentle use, with a couple of tiny points of wear to the gold draw strings. The handbag is very clean inside and out, it is fully useable and shows no other flaws or damage, very good condition.
