Vintage 1950s Designer Dorset Rex Box Evening Bag. A fantastic American vintage box evening bag, produced by Dorset Rex of 5th Avenue, New York and dating to circa 1959. This box evening bag is such a wonderful piece, it has a rounded pierced metal front and back, with metal sides, encrusted with glass and plastic glitter jewels. This stunning designer vintage evening bag fastens with a Gold-tone metal triple ball flip clasp and features a fabulous solid clear Lucite handle. The stunning evening bag is stamped inside: Dorset Rex, Fifth Avenue, patent pending. This is a wonderful super quality designer evening bag that is perfect for the evening and large enough to hold the essentials, and as it's so unique, it's the perfect addition to your vintage chic wardrobe or handbag collection.
