Retro Vintage 1960s Black Felt Decorated Handbag. This handbag is a sensational example of early 60's style, dating to circa 1963. The handbag has a simple framed rectangle shaped body in stiffened felted wool, with a matching handle and gold - tone mounts and clasp. This unusual handbag is decorated with velvet leaves, tear drop beads, needlepoint flowers with leaves, all surrounded by beading. The bag also features gold and black braiding around the front, gold leaves, gold filigree leaves, glass and plastic beads and black sequins. This handbag is a collector's dream!! The bag is topped with a decorative a gold toned and black wave patterned flip clasp. The bag is lined in vinyl with a zipped pocket. The bag measures approx. 10 in / 25 cm across, 2 in / 5 cm deep and 7 in /17.5 cm tall, plus 6 in / 15 cm of handle height. This handbag is in wonderful shape, with no signs of wear, flaws or damage, excellent condition.
