Vintage 1950s Cream and Gold Wicker Flower Basket Handbag. A wonderful vintage whicker handbag, in the form of a basket, decorated with cream silk flowers and leaves, dating to circa 1958. The bag has a cream woven whicker body, with a lift up lid, which fastens with a twist clasp, so the contents are secure and won't fall out. The handbag has gold leather handles and inside there's a cloth label, which reads: made in Japan. This handbag is a good size and will hold all your bits and pieces, and it'll add vintage character to any outfit so it's the perfect addition to your vintage chic or retro chic wardrobe or handbag collection. The handbag measures approx 7 inches / 17.5 cm tall (excluding the handles, which add a further 5 inches / 12.5 cm to the height), 6 inches / 15 cm deep and 9 inches / 22.5 cm across. As to condition, this charming vintage handbag is in great shape, with only the very lightest signs of very gentle use, with a couple of small faint points of discouloration to the silk flowers and no other flaws or damage, very good condition.
