Antique 1920s Art Deco Designer Whiting & Davis Gold - Tone Metal Mesh Evening Bag. This beautiful little evening bag is a real find, dating to circa 1928. Produce by the American company Whiting & Davis it has a delicate, shimmering gathered gold - tone metal mesh body attached to a gold tone metal frame with kiss clasp and chain handle. The frame has a wonderful Art Deco arched shape, the links of the chain handle are all embossed with a great Art Deco motif. Inside this charming antique designer evening bag, the frame is stamped with the Whiting & Davis Co. logo and the gold fabric lining has the cloth label, which also has the Whiting & Davis logo. This is a divine antique evening bag, that will add instant antique charm to any outfit, so it's the perfect addition to your antique and vintage evening bag collection. This is a fabulous piece of fashion history and a lovely piece to display and use. The antique evening bag measures approx 6 inches / 15 cm across and approx 7 inches / 17.5 cm top to bottom (excluding handle, which adds a further 6 inches / 15 cm). The bag has just enough room for your essentials for an evening out! The evening bag has a little light rubbing to the gold - tone finish on the frame, but, there are no other flaws or damage, good condition.
