This wonderful Edwardian Shelly tea service is as stylish today as when it was first made and comprises four tea cups, four saucers, four afternoon tea plates and a larger serving plate for sandwiches or cakes. This is a lovely simple set, each piece is in very fine delicate white china, scalloped and petal like, but, in simple white it is far from twee. This tea set would make a wondeful addition to your vintage or antique collection and would blend well with contemporary tablewares. The set is base stamped reg no. 272101 'late foley' Shelley, England (see additional photograph). The large plate measures approx 8 inches / 20 cm across.
