Vintage 19230s Art Deco Whiting & Davis Co. Gold - Tone Metal Mesh Evening Bag. This beautiful little evening bag is a real find. Made in circa 1935 by the American company Whiting & Davis it has a delicate, shimmering gold - tone metal mesh body attached to a gold tone metal frame with kiss clasp and chain handle. The frame is decorated with a wonderful geometic Art Deco embossed design and the bottom of the bag features zig zag detailing. The evening bag is fully lined in peach satin and the frame stamped with the Whiting & Davis Co. logo. This is a very charming vintage evening bag and it will make a wonderful addition to your antique and vintage evening bag collection. The vintage evening bag measures approx 6 inches / 15 cm across and approx 7 inches / 17.5 cm top to bottom (excluding handle, which adds a further 6 inches / 15 cm). The vintage Art Deco bag has just enough room for your essentials for an evening out! The vintage evening bag has very light rubbing to the gold tone finish on the frame and there is a small coin sized spot of light discolouration to the mesh on one side of the bag. There are no other flaws or damage, good condition.
