Vintage 1940 Art Deco Sterling Silver Powder Compact. A wonderful English vintage sterling silver powder compact, with great Art Deco styling, dating to circa 1940. This is a fabulous ladies powder compact, in hall marked sterling silver, assayed in Birmingham, dating to 1940. The powder compact is square, with an engine turned outer body and the lid features a fantastic Art Deco design.The powder compact has a full set of clear hallmarks and inside it has a small round mirror. This is a spectacular vintage powder compact, perfect for your collection and still fully useable too! The powder compact measures approx 2.5 inches / 6.25 cm wide and tall. The powder compact does not have its puff or powder guard. There is s small point of wear to the silvering on the mirror and body of ther compact has several tiny dints, however, these are all minor flaws and do not distract from this very pretty little Art Deco powder compact. No damage, good condition.
