Antique Edwardian Art Nouveau Brass Portrait Brooch. A very pretty antique Edwardian brooch, dating to circa 1905. This is a charming antique brooch with a large oval swirling Art Nouveau brass mount. The brooch features a glass fronted frame in which sits a photo of an Edwardian girl, the back of the frame is open and was designed so you could have a lock of your loved ones hair mounted in it. The frame is on a pivot and could be worn with the photo side or the open side forwards, depending on how adventurous the wearer was feeling! The mount also features a bale on the back, so this can be worn on a chain as a pendent too. You can easily add your own photos if you like. A fantastic brooch, that'll add a touch of antique style to any outfit, so it's the perfect addition to your antique wardrobe or costume jewellery collection. This wonderful vintage brooch measures approx 2 inches / 5 cm tall. This fantastic antique brooch has very light rubbing to the mount, it is fully wearable, with no other flaws or damage, very good condition.
