Antique 1920s Art Deco Beaded Flapper Dress. This is a stunning English antique beaded flapper dress, dating to circa 1922. This dress just epitomises the roaring twenties and it still carries all the glamour of that period today. The dress has a black sheer chiffon dress, that's covered in sensational mercury glass beading and tiny miniature silver sequins. The beading on the dress picks out a wonderful sweeping Art Deco pattern, so evocative of the era. The dress is cut in that wonderful flattering drop waisted style and the hem is un-beaded and so is light and floaty, moving beautifully when you walk or dance. The dress is complete with its original underskirt. This dress is a beautiful display piece and a treasure to wear, so this is the perfect addition to your antique or vintage chic wardrobe or clothing collection. The dress has a number of tiny repairs and a few missing beads, however as it is so intricately beaded, it is very hard to see the tiny spots of wear unless you look closely for them. No damage, overall very good condition.
