Antique 1920s Hand Embroidered Lovers Petite Pointe Evening Bag. A wonderful English hand embroidered evening bag, dating to circa 1924. This vintage evening bag is a superb example of hand embroidery. Colourful roses in pinks and yellows a depicted on a black background, with a central motif of two lovers embracing and held in a gold tone metal frame with chain handle and kiss clasp. The frame of the bag features some very pretty flower decorations picked out in enamel. The interior is fully lined in shot taffetta fabric and has a pocket for your compact. This hand embroidered evening bag is a fantastic addition to your vintage chic wardrobe or handbag collection and this is such a pretty piece, that it should be used day and night! The evening bag measures approx 5 inches / 12.5 cm tall (excluding the handle, which adds a further 5 inches / 12.5 cm to the height), approx 6 inches / 15 cm wide and 2 inches / 5 cm. There is a small mark to the lining fabric inside, but no damage, overall good condition.
