Antique Victorian Black Silk Parasol. A beautiful English antique silk parasol, dating to circa 1905. This is lovely antique parasol, from the days when it was essential that a lady kept her skin pale and freckle free! This is a completely black parasol, and would have been used by someone in mourning. This parasol is a lovely decorative piece of history and is perfect for displaying it your antique chic or vintage chic interior, equally, this can still be used, with care. The body of the parasol is in black silk and it is lined inside in the same. The handle is in black varnished wood. The parasol measures approx 34 inches / 85 cm long and approx 30 inches / 75 cm in diameter, when open. The parasol shows only the lightest signs of gentle use and no flaws or damage. Overall very good condition.
