Antique Victorian Cream Lace Parasol. A beautiful English antique silk and lace parasol, dating to circa 1885. This is lovely antique parasol, from the days when it was essential that a young lady kept her skin pale and freckle free! This parasol is a lovely decorative piece of history and is perfect for displaying it your antique chic or vintage chic interior. The body of the parasol is covered in frothy cream lace, and lined in cream silk. The parasol measures approx 22 inches / 55 cm long and approx 24 inches / 60 cm in diameter, when open. The parasol has a number of flaws: there are several rips to the silk lining, where the silk has given way, when the parasol has been opened up, there are a also several holes in the lace, but these are not very noticeable as it is gathered. It also looks like part of the handle is missing, it is not broken, but, the part that is there is short and the is no curve at the end. Overall fair - poor condition.
