Antique 1920s Art Deco Silver Plate Mesh Purse or Evening Bag. This is a beautiful 1920s mesh purse with Art Deco enamel decoration to the silver plate frame and blue glass beads in the clasp, dating to circa 1921. The mesh body, also described as chain mail, has been decorated with a geometric pattern, which though, faded retains its 1920s charm. The bag has a chain handle for slipping over your wrist. This is a wonderful addition to your antique and vintage evening bag collection, it is such a pretty display piece or your interior and a really adds some twenties charm to any outfit too! The bag measures approx 4 inches / 10 cm by 3 inches / 7.5 cm (excluding the handle, which adds another 3 inches / 7.5 cm to the height). The bag is in great shape, with a little light cosmetic wear, due to age, but no damage, overall very good condition.
