Vintage 1940s White Whiting & Davis Alumesh Handbag. A fantastic vintage handbag, produced by the famous USA handbag designers Whiting & Davis and dating to circa 1949. This is a very cool vintage handbag, with a body made up of White enamelled metal links, with matching enamelled chain handle, set on to a chunky Lucite plastic frame. This splendid Art Deco handbag features a chunky Gold-tone metal kiss clasp and is lined in Orange satin and features a small open pocket and a cloth makers label, which reads: Whiting & Davis Co, Alumesh bags, made in USA. This is a fantastic vintage handbag, just the thing for adding a touch of vintage character to any outfit, so it's the perfect addition to your vintage inspired wardrobe or handbag collection. The vintage handbag measures approx 12 inches / 30 cm across and 7 inches / 17.5 cm tall, excluding the handle, which adds a further 6 inches / 15 cm to the height. This wonderful vintage handbag is fully useable, very clean inside and out, with no flaws or damage, very good condition.
