Vintage 1930s Whiting & Davis White Enamelled Mesh Handbag with Bakelite Handle. This fabulous Art Deco vintage handbag is made by the classic handbag design co. Whiting & Davis and dates to circa 1938. This American company are the definitive manufacturers of aluminium mesh evening and handbags and this bag is a real show piece. The vintage Art Deco handbag has a large body made from white enamelled aluminium tiles connected in a mesh. The vintage handbag has a delightful Art Deco ivory coloured bakelite frame and chain link handle. The spacious interior is fully lined in deep blue cloth with an interior pocket and the famous Whiting & Davis company label. This is a real statement piece, that will add vintage style to any outfit and so it's a wonderful addition to your antique and vintage wardrobe or collection. This wonderful vintage Art Deco handbag is just the right size for all your bits and pieces and it measures approx 12 inches / 30 cm across and approx 7 inches / 17.5 cm top to bottom excluding handle, which adds a further 6 inches / 15 cm to the height. There are a couple of tiny, nail head sized holes to the lining and are a few of the tiny enamelled tiles which have rubbing to the enamel finish, but, this fabulous vintage handbag is fully useable, very clean inside and out and there are no other flaws or damage, good condition.
