Recycled Antique I Love Cake Box. This is a very cool antique Victorian wooden box dating to circa 1880. Usually the word decoupage conjures up images of dated fat cherubs and faux Victoriana, however, but, this box has given a whole new meaning to the word, this vintage box was fading fast until a kind recycler came along and gave it a new lease of life. The wood exterior has been sanded and waxed and restored with some mouth wateringly kitsch cake images taken from some 1950s magazines and the interior is lined with vintage 50s cake recipes and more cake pictures. The antique box has been sealed with matt varnish and the bottom is covered with felt, to protect your surfaces from scratching, so it is ready for you to use to store all kinds of odds and ends. This is a divine antique box, lovingly recycled, it's perfect for storage and display in your vintage inspired home. The vintage box measures approx 12 inches / 30 cm across, 9 inches / 22.5 cm deep and 4.5 inches / 11.25 cm tall. The vintage box has light signs of cosmetic wear, but, is newly refurbished, very good condition.
