Antique Framed Glass Jack & The Bean Stalk Picture Lantern Slide. A delightful framed and mounted glass lantern slide, dating to circa 1905, from our collection of beautiful antique glass lantern slides. Lantern slides were like TV for the privileged children of the Victorian and Edwardian period. The slides were placed in a special candle lantern, which projected the images on to a blank wall. The slides were often used for education and story telling and owing to their delicate nature, relatively few have survived. We've had this charming antique glass lantern slide lovingly hand framed, by our, very talented, local framer, Alex. He has done a wonderful job and given this sweet antique glass lantern slide a new sense of purpose, as a cute and comical piece of art, perfect for adding a touch of eclectic vintage style to your interior. This framed antique glass lantern slide is a real one-off and would make a fabulous gift or a wonderful treat for yourself! This divine framed antique glass lantern slide measures approx 12 inches / 30 cm wide and 8 inches / 20 cm tall. This is a brand new product, featuring a recycled antique glass lantern slide, it is ready to hang with a cord attached to the back.
