Antique 1920s Embroidered Birds Evening Bag. A beautiful antique embroidered evening bag, dating to circa 1920. This is a charming antique evening bag with a Black Taffetta body, embroidered in chain stitch with beutiful birds, it has a Gold-tone metal gate frame, kiss clasp, fabric handle handle, which togeather with the Cream lined interior combine to make a wonderful collectors piece. This delightful antique evening bag would make a wonderful addition to your antique and vintage evening bag collection. The bag is a good size and will hold all your essentials for an evening out, it measures approx 7 inches / 17.5 cm across and 6 inches / 15 cm tall (excluding the handle, which adds a further 6 inches / 15 cm to the height). This charming antique evening bag has an issue with the frame, which has come away from the hinge on one side, although the bag still opens and closes fairly snugly, this needs repair, it is still useable, very clean inside and out, with no other flaws or damage, fair - poor condition.
