Antique Edwardian Faux Tortoise Shell Celluloid Framed French Jet Beaded Evening Bag. A very sweet antique evening bag dating to circa 1905. This lovely little evening bag has a body, which has been totally encrusted with French Jet (Black glass) and multi-coloured glass beads and featuring a wonderful Art Nouveau floral design to the front and back. The antique evening bag has a faux tortoise shell frame and push button clasp and a beaded handle and it is lined in Black cotton, with a pretty floral edging. This is a lovely antique evening bag and just the thing for adding a touch of antique charm and character to any outfit, its age and uniqueness means no one else will have the same too and as the bag is such a rare find, it's the perfect addition to your antique or vintage wardrobe or handbag collection. The bag is big enough for your bits and pieces for an evening out and it measures approx 5 inches / 12.5 cm across and 6 inches / 15 tall plus 7 inches / 17.5 cm handle height. This divine antique evening bag has a couple of missing beads, and the handle is a replacement, but, these points are barely noticeable, it is fully useable and has no other flaws or damage, very good condition.
